We are proud to announce we will be working with Shepard Steel to complete the Wachusett Aqueduct Pumping Station in Marlborough, MA. Founded in 1956, Shepard Steel is one of New England’s outstanding steel fabricators. Learn more about them: Shepard Steel
The pumping station will provide a backup system for the infrastructure that delivers water from central Massachusetts to Boston and surrounding towns. The plant will include a number of features to reduce emissions and increase efficiency, including solar panels and geothermal systems. Estimated project cost is $45.6 million.
Our contribution to this project will be shop drawings for the miscellaneous metals. The extensive scope of work includes stairs, rails, catwalk grating and more. Work is currently underway and will continue through the rest of the year.
The general contractor is a joint venture of Barletta Heavy & Barletta Engineering.
