Feed us information the same way you feed your shop material.  It is the very same work-flow setup.

Imagine if you had to fab a beam by getting a hole location one week, then the overall dimension the next week, and the rest of the hole locations 8 months later (after you put the beam in storage to get it out of the way). Doesn’t sound like a very efficient way to work, does it?  What’s your cost for producing that beam?

On many projects, that describes the work flow for detailing.

We can work together to aggressively manage the flow of information, which lowers costs for everyone and speeds up production.

Here what we need to work quickly:

• Initial RFIs sent immediately after contract award (we will do this if you do not)
• Project setup info at the start of the job
  • Titleblock info
  • Material finishes
  • Provide all manufacturers and model numbers for any buy-out items
  • Any info specific to your shop procedures (max shipping length, preferred connections, etc)
  • Which items will be field measured
  • Will you need extra drawings for samples or mockups
  • Estimating take-offs, if you want us to follow them
• Answers to our RFIs.  The sooner, the better.
• Adherence to standard industry procedures. Request that changes be made on the shop drawings, not via random forwarded emails
• Quick turn-around of approval drawings (with all questions answered)
• Field measurements, received not long after approved drawings

We do not provide engineering services. We do provide referrals to licensed Professional Engineers.

Each state maintains a free online database of certified companies. This can be used to verify our status during the bid process. To prevent fraud, we only release certifications after receipt of contract.

Yes. We can perform project management duties on a temporary basis, schedule permitting. Work will be performed remotely from our office.

Yes! We can create custom drawings for just about anything made of metal. Some examples of items we’ve drawn for homeowners: railings, columns, floor beams, gates, steel seats & hangers for wood beams, custom lighting, and wall art.

Yes!  We love hearing your plans and helping you achieve them.

We don’t do wood.  However, if your wood needs custom support brackets or saddles, give us a call!
