Highlights
A lot of surveying and math went into “The World’s Most Instagram-ed Stairs”. Inside the sleek exterior is a massive assembly of cantilevered structural steel. To create the stairs, steel tread supports were welded to the top of the existing structural steel. The geometry and construction of each run of tread supports varied. The most important part of the work was done by Capco Steel’s amazing survey crew. We used their precise field measurements and calculated what was needed to achieve the design team’s intent.
