The Langham is a 5-star luxury hotel in Boston, MA. The historic landmark is currently undergoing a significant restoration and is scheduled to re-open in the summer of 2020.
As part of this project, we are detailing the structural reinforcement of an existing truss. A portion of the existing framing will be removed, and new material added. The new work includes tube bracing, web doublers, and continuous plates to reinforce existing members.
The steel fabricator and erector is Capco Steel Erection Co. of Providence, RI.
The general contractor is Shawmut Design and Construction.
